ELIZABETH SETON CHILDREN’S HOSTS “BELLA NOTTE” GALA TO RAISE FUNDS FOR FIRST OF ITS KIND HOME FOR YOUNG ADULTS WITH MEDICAL COMPLEXITY
The young adult center will care for 96 young adults ages 18-35
Elizabeth Seton Children’s annual “Bella Notte” fundraising gala raised over $610,000 on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in support of its efforts to create the first of its kind long-term home for young adults with medical complexity. The organization has dedicated the proceeds from its “Bella Notte” gala to the young adult project since 2021, bringing the five-year total amount to almost $2.5 million.
Held at Guastavino’s in New York City, the gala honored Susan and Justin Driscoll, Anna Rizzo of Forvis Mazars and EW Howell Construction Group for their outstanding support of Elizabeth Seton Children’s.
“At Elizabeth Seton Children’s, we see every day how love and faith truly create miracles,” said Pat Tursi, CEO of Elizabeth Seton Children’s. “Our mission has always been to build a community where children and young adults with complex medical needs are cherished and given every opportunity to thrive and experience the fullness of life. The young adult project is a powerful extension of that mission: a place where those miracles will continue to unfold thanks to the compassion and generosity of our supporters.”
The facility will be the pioneering model for the country; the first, free-standing, post-acute care center dedicated to young adults with complex medical needs ages 18-35. In September, Elizabeth Seton Children’s successfully closed on the financing for this historic $156 million, 96-bed project and commenced construction on October 8, 2025. The organization is seeking to raise the remaining $18 million needed to close the gap on its Capital Campaign. The young adult center is scheduled to open in early 2028.
