“When a child reaches a milestone that we have been working toward, it brings me tremendous joy and admiration for all the hard work they put in. I feel the same way I do when my biological children reach their milestones. That joy is indescribable.”

Grow with us

Elizabeth Seton Children’s is thrilled to announce that we are expanding our footprint and growing our team with the development of our young adult center – slated to open in 2025.

Our young adult center will be the first home of its kind in the world for young adults with chronic medical conditions who have aged out of specialized, pediatric care at age 21. Located in White Plains, this facility will be adjacent to Elizabeth Seton Children’s Rehabilitation Center and Elizabeth Seton Children’s School.

While hospitals, nursing homes and medical facilities in our region that have been around for decades and even centuries are closing their doors, Elizabeth Seton Children’s continues to evolve with the times and expand to meet the changing needs of the health care landscape.

VOLUNTEERS

At Elizabeth Seton Children’s, we encourage and embrace any volunteers who are just as committed to our mission as the rest of our team members – volunteers who will selflessly give their time and attention to our children and their families. Whether it’s doing arts and crafts, reading, making music, helping each child interact with their environment or holding a child’s hand, there are always opportunities available for those looking to give back.

Requirements

Because of the nature of our work, volunteers must be at least 16 and should be able to commit to a regular and predictable schedule. We work with a protected population and require an application and screening process, including medical and background checks. The process may take four to six weeks to complete.

Groups Welcome!

Elizabeth Seton Children’s also welcomes groups who wish to volunteer to support special events. Corporate groups and groups from religious organizations, as well as students from local schools and community programs, can bring so much to our children’s lives through the donation of their time. Sponsoring a special event is a wonderful way to make a big impact!
