A Prom to Remember

July 12, 2026

Prom is one of those special traditions that so many young people look forward to. It's a chance to dress up, party with friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. On May 29th, our teens and young adults who call Elizabeth Seton Children's Center home experienced all of that and more at their very own prom.

Made possible by an extraordinary $45,000 grant from the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation, "Dunkin' Prom Presents Enchanted Oasis" was an unforgettable celebration filled with excitement, laughter and magical moments where every young person was the star of the show. This marked the fourth consecutive year the Foundation has supported this beloved tradition, bringing its total investment in our proms to an inspiring $142,000.

Our residents arrived dressed to the nines as they were greeted by the sounds of cheers, music and applause from their families and caregivers. They danced, posed for photos, enjoyed delicious food and treats and celebrated the crowning of our prom king and queen.

"Prom is far more than a celebration: it is a time of recognition, togetherness and joy that stays with our young adults and their families forever," said Pat Tursi, CEO of Elizabeth Seton Children's. "For families who thought prom was an impossibility for their son or daughter, the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation has made this dream come true."
