For one very special afternoon, a little bit of Disney arrived all for Elizabeth Seton Children's Center resident, Skylah!

On July 28th, our friends from Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley brought Skylah's wish to have a Disney princess experience to life by transforming her home into a magical world filled with some of her favorite Disney characters, music, face painting, bubbles, delicious food and plenty of smiles.

Skylah was joined by her mom, Christal Rivera, and many family and friends who came to celebrate her. The festivities later grew to include Skylah's classmates, teachers and members of her care team.

"Seeing Skylah surrounded by so much love and watching her enjoy a day created just for her meant more to our family than I can put into words," shared Christal. "Make-A-Wish brought the joy of Disney right to Skylah, and being able to share it with the people who love and care for her every day was unforgettable."

For young people living with complex medical needs, some childhood experiences can require a little more imagination to make possible. Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley didn't simply grant Skylah a wish - they gave her and those who love her the chance to share in the wonder, happiness and togetherness of the Magic Kingdom right in her backyard.

Many thanks to Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley for making Skylah a princess for a day and for showing us just how powerful a wish come true can be!
